Shrek is out of a line of working dogs, who have proven themselves in weight-pulling, man work, etc. 

Altough he can spend hours laying loud snoring on the coach and his big bully type body, he almost can't be stopped when it comes to working.

At the moment he shows to get tired when he's running next to the bike and you'll think that it is better for him to slow down, he continues to run in the same speed and it doesn't matter to him if you're peddling or not.

His hips and ellbows are tested for official OFA registration with good results at the age of 3 years.
